This December, Microgaming has something exciting in store for players. They have just announced that they will be releasing six brand new table games for desktop and mobile. Five of these games are fresh variations of the classic Blackjack; while the last is an updated take on a player favourite – Baccarat. The first four Blackjack titles are ready to go live, with the final two new games due to be released on 11 December.

These games have all been created exclusively for Microgaming by Switch Studios. The independent content creators have been working in partnership with the iGaming giant for several months now. The first game released as part of this deal was a variant of European Blackjack, and it came out earlier this year. The release has been a success for the duo, and was clearly a trial run for their plans to create the new suite of titles.

Putting Action At The Forefront

Switch Studios has been working hard to create variations on classic table games that are fresh, interesting and enticing to players. Their philosophy has been to ensure that the player’s focus is on the action, so that each game is more about the play and not about the look and feel. The design is simple and minimalist in order to give players a real-world experience that they can enjoy on the go or at home.

The games have been built on a new engine that was designed by Switch Studios especially for Microgaming. They feature state of the art animations and sound effects to give even more of that real-world feel. Each one has traditional Blackjack features, such as Split Hands and Standard Side Bets (including Double Down and Insurance). The names of the upcoming games are Classic Blackjack, Atlantic City Blackjack and a range of Vegas titles: Strip, Downtown and Single Deck Blackjack.

Modern Update To Classic Baccarat

The new version of Baccarat that is set to launch alongside Vegas Single Deck Blackjack features a similar revamp to the other table games. It’s been given the same sleek, modern design and the animations and sound effects are cutting edge. The multi-platform table game is was built using the same engine as the Blackjack titles, and is also aimed at providing players with a realistic experience.

One of the top features that the 2 brands are most excited about in this new release is the Card Squeeze mechanic they have developed. It is said to mimic the real Baccarat experience of peeling, pulling, rotating and flipping cards – actions that are essential to game play.

It’s an exciting time in the online casino world, and once again, Microgaming appears to be at the forefront of new innovations and advancements.
